Things We Like: Mish Mash in Uganda

Features of Uganda’s buzzing art community can be found on Mish Mash’s Artists page. The group describes itself as:

a dynamic, energetic fusion of art, culture and the things that make life worth living. Located in Naguru, Kampala, MishMash brings together Uganda’s most inspiring artists in a wide range of fields including painting, sculpture, dance, fashion, music, print-making, and photography.

Notable mentions include jewelry from Peter Corry, who has generously offered to train Women of Kireka in metalworks this coming month, and bags from Kikapu, a business we briefly featured on Sunday under “Colours for a rainy Sunday morning”. It also looks like some great photographers and performance artists attend, including Joel Nsadha, whose stunning photographs can be seen here.

Mish Mash hosts events at the end of every month. Check out their Events page if you are in Kampala.
