Stacey Diaz is from Windsor, California. In 2007, she began her studies at Yale University where she not only developed a passion for African Studies, but also became involved with both campus and nonprofit organizations addressing human rights issues in African countries, such as Sudan and the DRC. A few months ago Stacey received her BA in International Studies and African Studies. She is eager to come to Uganda and experience first-hand development methods and human rights approaches that have made up so much of her studies. Most of all she is eager to engage with Women of Kireka and contribute to their admirable mission.
